The Royal National City Park

The Royal National City Park is a more than six miles Long Park, stretching around and through the city.

It is the first national urban park in the world. Only a stone’s throw from the city centre of Stockholm you can experience a unique historic landscape interwoven with parkland, beautiful buildings, woods and forests, open land and beaches.

Also museums, an amusement park, theatres and entertainment, castles, inns and hotels, sports facilities etc…

You can encounter grazing cows, horses and sheep and all kinds of wildlife like deer and hares, even foxes and moose, and spot rare birds, butterflies and insects, right inside the city.

You can walk for days through the Ekoparken, discovering ever new lovely spots. It spans three municipalities - Solna, Stockholm and Lidingö.

No wonder that this is the well-visited recreational area in the Stockholm region today.
