Wadden Sea Centre is the gate to UNESCO world heritage The Centre has just opened in 2017 and is one of the most beautiful museums in Denmark

Wadden Sea Centre

The Wadden Sea is the largest and flattest National Park in Denmark, and in this new museum, you get a perfect introduction to this area.

The 1000 m2 exhibition center, opened in February 2017, is the best source of information about the Wadden Sea National Park, and you get close to the birds you normally watch at a distance.

It is an information and activity centre, where you can see exhibitions on the tide, flora, and fauna of the national park and book an Oyster Safari or Sort Sol viewing trip. So if you visit the Wadden Sea Nationalpark we recommend you to start your visit to the UNESCO Wadden Sea national park here.

The exhibitions at the museum

In this new museum, you get close to and experience the amazing world of the Wadden Sea, and you can both feel and touch the things here. You will get knowledge about the birds, the many different inhabitants of the Wadden Sea and about the tides, and a lot more.

Book a guided tour at the museum

It`s possible to book a guided tour where you can have a great experience in this incredible world of the Wadden Sea. If you are a group you can book your own tour.

The museum arranges many different kinds of tours and one of the most popular is the tour where you gather oysters and mussels because the oysterbanks are not far from the coast.
