Discover a lot about the Danish Vikings through the Viking Age of Ribe

When you visit the museum of Vikings in Ribe you will get a tremendous view about the brave Danish warriors. In around the year 700, a market was founded in Ribe. The thousands of artefacts discovered in excavations in the area reveal the Vikings’ way of life and their trade with the rest of Europe.

Especially when you look back between the years 800 and 1100, the town was fortified on several occasions with a large moat and ramparts.
