Olavinlinna Castle

The Olavinlinna Castle is an absolute highlight in Savonlinna. The remarkable medieval stone fortress from 15th-century is one of the most spectacular castles in northern Europe.  

During the year Savonlinna is the host of many events and festivals, which can be an interesting experience for the tourist, as a way to get a feel for Finnish culture and its traditions.
