H. C. Andersen on the river

Enjoy a pedalo or boat tour on Odense river, and get the spirit about Hans Christian Andersen`s fairytale town.

From 26 June to 4 August, there is every Monday at 14:00 "Hans Christian Andersen on the river" where you can experience Andersen`s fairy tales during a boat trip with the company Aafart at Odense Å.

The actor Torben Iversen tells many well-known fairy tales, and at the same time, you can experience the fairy tales performed by live actors on the river bank.

In this way, the boat trip at the Odense River is a fairy tale journey through a lot of small tableaux that bring Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales to life. With the latest app technology, you get a modern touch that, as guests, you get a complete experience that is truly unique.

You can experience it all via a tablet or iPad, and with the soundtrack of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales in your ears, you watch actors perform on the banks through an app that we have developed specifically for Fairy Tale on the River.
