Loen Skylift

Loen Skylift located by the Nordfjord is a top attraction.

In May 2017 Loen Skylift opened up for the first adventure tours for tourist. It is the world`s steepest aerial ropeway, over 1,000 meters above the Nordfjord, and provide breathtaking panoramic views over the fjord landscape.

Unique activities from the top

From Mount Hoven, you have access to several kilometres of built and signposted hiking trails, and in winter you can go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ski touring. Local tour operators offer tours from here. Are you in the mood for some food, you can enjoy fine dining with local ingredients at the Hoven Restaurant on the top, at the edge of the cliff, before you take the Loen Skylift back to Loen.

You will find Loen Skylift placed in Stryn, at the inner part of the Nordfjord. The Nordfjord is placed in the highest part of Norway and in the wildest, deepest and most enjoyable spectacular nature surrounded the fjord.

By car

The Skylift is located beside road nr 60 in Loen Village and is 10 minutes from Stryn.

By plane

There are direct flights from Oslo and Bergen operated by Widerøe and the nearest airports are Hovden and Sandane (both operated by Widerøe)
