Kolovesi National Park

Kolovesi is a paddler's paradise where rocky cliffs rise over the narrow lake channels forming a part of the vast labyrinthine Saimaa Lake System.

Ancient rock paintings give insights into how Finland's early settlers lived in harmony with nature thousands of years ago. In fact, you can be lucky to spot unique lake seals like Saimaa ringed seal. This is one of the best places for spotting seals in the country.

Recommended season for a visit

It is recommended tourists to visit  Kolovesi  National Park in the summer because many road and routes are close in the winter. Kolovesi invites to discover the park by adventures like hiking, canoeing or sightseeing tours.
