Åre Ski Resort

Åre offers the unique combination of skiing and entertainment in Sweden´s cosiest and trendiest mountain village. Here you find a cosmopolitan atmosphere with many foreign visitors.

Åreskutan can be seen from afar with its well-known pistes, seen in countless world cup competitions, and majestic cable-car pillars – all framed by the Sylarna and Renfjället peaks in the distance.

Åre village is a big city in miniature form and offers a large range of both restaurants and shops. The mountain’s highest point is more than 1 kilometre above the village centre and offers northern Europe’s greatest vertical drop.

The more adventurous amongst us get their fill of adventure with infinite summit trip opportunities and challenging off-piste just a stone’s throw from the pistes.

Those looking for a calmer experience can enjoy mile after mile of ski trails, kilometre-long rolling pistes and cosy mountain restaurants perfect for a long lunch.  Don’t be surprised if you run into one or two reindeer when you ski down the long pistes.

If you visit Åre during the winter months you can enjoy night skiing with world-class lighting, and with a little luck, the magical northern lights will brighten the dark sky as a bonus.

Duved is located just under 10 km west of Åre. Here the pace is a little slower and the ski slopes are perfect for long, wonderful carving turns. Duved’s lift system is connected with Tegefjäll and together Duved/Tegefjäll offers varied skiing on wide green, blue and red pistes with a vertical drop to suit most skiers.

Åre Björnen is for cool families with kids and is located just under 5 km east of Åre village.  Åre Björnen and the rest of Åre’s ski system are connected, allowing for a great variety of skiing. The family stamp is clear in Björnen, and the main focus is on beginner and children’s slopes.
